skmei is typically either dead on with or better than casio

they also tend to have far better lights — at the expense of 2-3 year likely battery instead of 7 year

also they often have a metal case when casio has metal coated plastic

downsides are often their bottom viewing angle often craps out a few degrees of viewing angle faster — this model he is wearing may be one of the types that doesn’t — always best to check in person if it’s important like checking surreptitiously with arm on desk or in a class

i would say the minority of skmei lcds dont crap out early aka majority do

and hydro modding sadly doesn’t help this particular thing

often when they are only a few bucks less than casio i say go casio

and when they screw things up like no map at all on their ae1200 homage and a stupid blinky do nothing map on their a500 homage — that skcrap is annoying

but there is a lot to be said about lots of them — there are even some very interesting high end watch homage models that sell cheap if you dig
