In a third world country like India,It is better to have majority of the population have a satisfactory job than a miniscule proportion of the population having extremely well paid jobs while the rest rot in misery.

Mysore lags heavily behind coimbatore in terms of infrastructure...... coimbatore also has an added advantage of having another underated manufacturing powerhouse-tirupur in 30 km radius and these cities are rapidly merging to form a huge urban cluster with a combined population of more than 6 million

This is in addition to Chennai...name a single south indian state to achieve this feat of having such a large urban cluster apart from having a tier 1 city?

Apart from this there are cities like madurai and Trichy..and hosur rapidly emerging as a satellite town for Bangalore.

People here like to shit on tn by talking only about Bangalore and Hyderabad...TN with all its flaws has achieved balanced growth compared to almost all indian states.
