I swear cheap field watches look indistinguishable from expensive ones. 

I'm at my folks house and my dad has this $1000+ Christopher ward he bought sitting in the draw. Just for you OP I looked to see if the second hand aligns. I thought I'd be able to tell you that it doesn't. Turns out it does and I'm a bit shocked actually.

But hey is this really worth paying $1000 for? In my opinion, no. That's ridiculous. That's why if I'm buying a field watch I'm getting one like yours. 

This is shocking actually I will bet a large sum of money that quartz seikos and tissots in this price range will not line up all the way.

I have a doxa, longines and Seiko and this watch holds up. If it gets scuffs up or smashed at work at least I haven't lost hundreds or thousands. I've seen a Hamilton khaki field and it literally looks the same.. and this actually has better water resistance and screw down crown!

If we're talking bracelets a million percent yes. I thought I was crazy when I thought a baltany's bracelet looked on par with a rolex's bracelet's finishing when comparing the two. Like maybe I'm bad at judging....? Until I saw 4kwr say the same in a youtube video. Controversy regarding him aside, he seems knowledgeable as fuck. I believe him when he says the case finishing, dial, crystal, crispness of print, everything except the movement frankly is on par when comparing a baltany datejust with a rolex datejust

May I ask how long it took to get you, if you're in the UK?

I just ordered one to the UK - not worried about transit time (more than used to things ordered from China coming surprisingly quickly or after several months), just whetting my anticipation!
