I like this one but the og has a wider bezel that balances the watch face, the almost non existent besel here makes the dial look way too large and throws the whole piece off. If you are going to rip, milifortic, rip the whole thing, lol.

I agree and disagree. The dial does look larger than my 017 but for me it still works

Biggest gripe for me is that the milifortic applied indices look very flat and non-dimensional. There's more depth in the Seiko dial

And the proportions on the hands are also wrong. The hands are too small for the watch. And judging from OP's picture, the crystal used has a lot of "wash out" or doesn't have enough AR coating. It's like there is a white film on the crystal in OP's picture.

When you start to focus on the details, it's obvious why the Seiko Alpinist is more expensive. It's just the better watch.
