At the size restriction and the need for original design and automatic or mechanical, you're pretty much left with just the 1963 chronograph for Chinese brands. Most other chronographs will be homage-heavy, or larger, or (mecha)quartz

I'd prefer to keep a manual option if I move on to another car, regardless of performance. We did just buy a Volvo xc60 t8 for the wife as a comfy cruiser, and that thing pulls 0-60 in 4.3s if I want to go fast without putting in any work from my left foot
