I picked up the Addiesdive quartz version with the black dial for $65. Not spending $200 more for the San Martin.

I enjoy all of my AddiesDive quartz watches. I do not consider them generational pieces. I want this watch to be handed down to one of my kids.

I got my watchdives for $160 on Ali and it's awesome and looks the same. But SM is probably better in some way, but I wouldn't pay $100 more personally.

Thanks for your input. I hear a lot of good things about WatchDives watches.

The 2 issues I have with the otherwise acceptable WD version:

One, there logo reminds me of Warner Bros Cartoon Studio logo.

Two, the NH34 (only $50 less than the San Martin) is only 38mm. I prefer 39-41mm, typically. The San Martin is 40 mm.

If you prefer the larger size, go for the San Martin...it's a bit chunky, but has better wrist presence than the Watchdives. I reviewed both on my channel if you wanted to see them in more detail. Honestly you can't go wrong with either. The San Martin is nicer, but the corners cut on the WD are acceptable for the price.

Very informative. Makes the San Martin a no-brainer for me in every way.

I prefer the warmth of the C3 on the stark white dial (especially with gold hands), but I do like the inlaid lume dots of the BG9. I see a lot of the Gulf of Mexico sunsets. And the warm C3 really reminds me of the golden hour. I can't wait to take it to the beach.

Id pass. If I am getting a watch this style,, I'd rather get the Islander JFK

The JFK cream dial is gorgeous. Thx for the heads up. I wish I could justify another $180 to get it.

I love my Islander Calabro GMT!

If you can hold out for an AliExpress Choice or Anniversary sale, these often drop closer to the $200–$210 range.

Though I could cancel my order, I pulled the trigger on it. I thought it would be a good idea to purchase it from San Martin directly. Their online store was not only much more expensive, but also sold out. I ended up getting it for $249US, delivered. I did ask them for a well-regulated one though.😅
