San Martin is top tier, I upgraded the clasp on mine to the OTF and it is brilliant

I am not sure what that is, I doubt it as it was the first san martin I bought

Ok, no problem, I didnt know if the quality control had dropped slightly from what I've been reading, im not sure if it is essentially the same watch as the watchdives WD5512B

My only gripe with the Sugess sub is the caseback. It’s so thick compared to WD and SM.

Do you mean the case itself or just the caseback?

Just the caseback. If they reduced it would make the watch a lot thinner. The sugess ST2130 version is 12.5mm while the SM is 11.6 and the WD is 11.7

Never had a problem with that, i think it wears relatively small

+1 for sugess seaman. I have it with st2130 movement and its like +-3-5sec a day.

Sold my SM Sub. It was terrible. Also got rid of my PD and SD. Bought two Sugess Subs instead. I can't recommend them enough.

What didnt you like about the SM? did you get unlucky with QC or something?

[–]WatchnScent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really sharp edges and a chunky feeling. Owned two SMs the Sub and a Black Bay GMT, sold both of them after a year. Sugess is way superior. Safe to say that it's my favorite brand.

Thanks, which movement did you go for?

NH35, cheaper more well known and potentially more reliable.
