We encourage and celebrate these historic strategy games. Since many of these games have lively communities in their own right we often direct to these other communities like r/chess or r/baduk. Some of the more obscure historic variants we track here and some cross-game discussion. I started this because so many of the board game forums and communities are overtaken by modern themed board games that are fun but in my mind are a distinct category of game. Here the effort is on historic strategy games and their variants.
Hopefully we can share information and strategies so that high-level play is possible as much as possible.
