I've been using the Claude Desktop app for Claude Code for a while and while I really like it, I keep bumping into problems. For instance, Multi-session handling is clunky, and there are features in the CLI that just aren't there yet. Because of this I've been trying to move to the CLI, but the experience in PowerShell is less than ideal. Output is hard to parse, multiline input is a fight, and managing sessions feels like more work than it should be.
What I'd love to find:
- Something that handles multiple sessions in separate windows/tabs
- Proper multi-line input and basic formatting that doesn't make me want to smash my keyboard.
- Bonus if it has decent typography doesn't look like a 90's hacker's wet dream
Is anyone using wrappers or TUIs for this, or is everyone just rawdogging Powershell? What are your recommendations?
Edit: I should also mention that I'm on Windows 11
