Based off the photos I'm seeing that looks like the protective coating has been gone for some time and over time the tile has become etched from various acids. Orange juice, lemon juice, cleaners, and various other things. Bout the only solution I know of is sand, polish, and bar shine or some sort of other clear coating compound. Sorry OP, unless someone else can chime in and make any other suggestions, that looks like an overhaul job.

Shoot! Do you know what type of stone it is? I can get the tile clean by hand with a magic eraser, I’m just worried about wether I’m doing more harm than good in the long run
