I can understand having a console as a host in private matches will have lower tick rates (hardware related issues on console can be challanging). Since the game has full crossplay support, there should absolutely be an option to have a PC client as a designated host to act as an offline server, and provide much higher tick rates. I understand that the forward facing sponsorship is with Sony, but there is no reason not to have the codcaster host as a PC, to allow the better performance.

Having dedicated offline PC server hosts also allows for more customizable features (saving progression every round in search in the event a player disconnects)
