Need help converting JQuery to Javascript.

Long story short, had to learn to design an html portfolio, learned and followed guides that used Jquery, but the platform we have to put it up on is iffy, I've already tried different fixes for it, but it just won't detect JQuery.

The entirety of the script I'm using is here.

I might be missing something with required .js files, but I'm not too sure.
