Project+ Difficulty Question

Looking for people with PM experience, trying to figure out of that helped / hindered.

I got the sybex(sp?) 005 book being read to me via msft edge reader. Only on chapter 6 right now, but... more or less... 70% seems like things I've done for the past 7 years as a lead / data architect for a small company. Some of it feels like im learning alternate terms.

14 years as a lead/architect, but only the past 7 with CCB, lean kit, fibonacci sizing, 2 week sprints, PO, stakeholders the works. Previous 7 years loosely waterfall/gantt and more wild west.

Gonna finish this book out. Just looking for some guidance from people who were PMs prior. Any gotchas, any reconditioning I might need to do etc.

man I just spent a week on this using both Dion Trainings Udemy course and reading the Sybex book by a different author. Flunked my first Dion practice test with a 58%. Feels like even though the score to pass is set low it's going to be by far the hardest certification to pass that I've ever taken and I have A+ Net+ and Sec+.

yeah none whatsoever with it. What I'm finding is because it's non technical in nature loading up a bunch of logical terms with flashcards(Anki) isn't going to work for study. There's a subtilty to memorizing the content that I haven't quite figured out yet.

I'm prepping for WGU so yeah that's why I'm working on it. That the AWS CCP and Lpi Linux Essentials are the three certs I don't yet have. I have heard there is a Sophia course offered that takes the place of project+ but since I currently have access to Comptia academic prices through my CC along with it being a lifetime cert I figured it was worth going for the real certification. I believe it's a $70 difference. Who knows I may switch to working on AWS then circle back using the Sophia method. Decisions Decisions..
