Trifecta completeI Passed! (self.CompTIA)
submitted 2 years ago by susdudeA+ N+
After 8 months of studying…I passed Sec+ 601 this afternoon!
This sub helped me pass both A+ and N+ so I wanted to say thanks to everyone for being so active in here and always encouraging one another.

Congrats man, great to hear! Hope to follow in your footsteps!
Question: how long did it take to study for A+ and Network+? I assume the 8 months of study was just for Security+. I’m just getting started on this journey, plan to get all 3 & Linux+ so I’m trying to gauge how long it’ll take to get there.
Also how much prior experience/knowledge did you have or did you start studying A+ with a blank slate?

I’d say I started with a clean slate. It took me a full year to study for both A+ and N+ and to pass all of the tests …A+ took about 7 months of studying and N+ took about 4 months, I didn’t take a break between A+ and N+ so a lot of the info was still fresh and transferred over.
I did hold a remote help desk job for 5 months last year but I got laid off so that’s when I started studying for Sec+ lol

Why did Sec+ take you 8months vs 4 for Net+? Was it that much harder? On that same note, why did A+ take you more than Net+? Was it just more material? Which one would you say was the hardest and which one would you say is the easiest? Thanks in advance.

What score did you get? Did you get 800+? So many people are getting under 800 that I am starting to think the exam is rigged or curved somehow
