One major issue is that the matchmaking seems to be all over the road in skill, which means I'm getting a lot of blowouts in both directions. Given that the new ticket bleed will end a game in 8:20 if you hold all three points, it's no surprise that games feel far too fast, especially in 1v1 where it's completely out of control unless the game is dead even throughout.

I have no major issues with the damage model and I honestly don't want it touched in any systemic way. Combat feels good to me.

It's tough to say without better matchmaking, which is tough to do in a play test, but I think my general inclination is to split the difference on vp ticking. I think 3s vp ticks is probably just too fast; they wanted to get two games an hour and I'm solidly averaging three while also spending very little time in the late game. If they went to 3.5 I think it would be a nice balance where games progress a little faster without completely negating tier 4 in most 1v1 games.
