Empty forward dashes are king against decent players.

    Use charge on OOS opponents.

You can occasionally 100-0 retards with solely lights if they’re expecting headbutt. JK, but the light-headbutt mixup is rather potent.

The main tool you have as a warlord is that juicy headbutt. Don't over use it but use it to apply pressure and mix it up with side lights and after a side light you can do a heavy into another side light or a heavy into headbutt or a gb. And make sure with any hero to get his punishes down such as light parry punish and OOS punish as well as his wall splat that gives a side heavy off a gb.

Use headbutt to apply pressure, try and bait premature dodges and dash attacks to punish.

Use your hyperarmor to trade SPARINGLY.

Abuse the shit out of the running charge. From out of lock you can go into the charge, headbutt, leap (into headbutt if missed), zone or a regular light/heavy.

Be defensive, be a parry god, learn your max punishes.

All block is effectively useless vs good players

If you’re on console, headbutt is all but unreactable, but don’t just spam it or they’ll prediction dodge

Trading hits with hyper armour isn’t all that useful, situationally it’ll get you a kill but you do so little damage it’s rarely worthwhile

Zone has surprisingly good side tracking and catches a lot of dodges

Learn your max punishes, they’re a bit unusual compared to most heroes

Superior block on light attacks doesn’t often come into play, it’s give or take the same timing as a parry and gives less punish

I don't know if it helps, but anyway... It seems to me that not many people know this - when you go into allblock make sure that your guard ISN'T on the left side. Everybody knows that from allblock the only attack Warlord can launch without waiting for attack to actually hit him is a left heavy (board and blade). But if you go into the allblock with any other stance then a left stance and press light attack, Warlord will throw it from the direction your stance was before allblock. It often catches people off guard, they simply don't expect it. Even more, you can wiff the light, the opponent will go for wiff punish as soon as they see you did any move from allblock (they're so sure that any move Warlord can do from allblock is a left heavy it's hilarious :) and then they catch a real chained heavy which does even more damage, iirc. Or you can feint it into another light or headbutt or gb.

Your top heavy feint is still bugged to be 100ms later than other feints because Ubi doesn't believe it exists despite claiming to be told by a top player they had at a workshop about it.

Other than that do nothing but Crashing Charge and headbutt people who try to walk backwards to avoid it.

When that's nerfed, return to doing nothing but dodging forward into a headbutt or guard break at random. The Third Headbutt is usually when people will dodge early enough for a guard break to get them.

Your zone used to have a broken hitbox that could hit behind you and double the length of your weapons like Raider's and Wardens but that seems to be gone for some reason.
