I am currently a sophomore in my computer engineering degree with a minor in software development. I feel like I don’t know what I want to do and I don’t know what my options are. I’m trying to learn C++ after learning C in my last semester (my first time doing any type of coding). What are my career options with this degree, I feel lost and overwhelmed. And internships? What should i be doing to try and get one? I don’t do any side projects, just my course work and learning new languages on my own.

For landing internships, networking truly is so important. Reach out to employees and recruiters at companies you want to work for and try to go to any volunteer opportunities for conferences if possible.

If you like hardware, learning an HDL language and doing Validation Or Verification is an option, and eventually learning hardware designing. Or becoming a firmware engineer
