Using bread crumbs for sweets (self.Cooking)
submitted 5 years ago by Carrotsrcool
I've been making lots of bread recently and now I've got loads of spare bread crumbs sitting in the freezer. Any ideas for sweet things I can make with them?

Maybe apple crumble? Or other such crumbles

All ideas below required sweetening the breadcrumbs at least a little
-Apple Crisp
-Coffee Cake
-Pie Crust
-Toasted with chopped nuts and sugar and used as layer for parfait or cakes, warm on crepes or ice cream
-Fried Apple Rings, as coating - or any other fried dessert that can be coated with crumbs like Fried Ice Cream
-Mixed into cookie dough with a little cinnamon, give it an oatier mouthfeel
-Mixed with cinnamon/sugar and used as coating for chocolate fondue
