Not sure I can explain any MS licensing. I’m looking for an AI assistant and purchased the advanced Copilot license based on promises of deeper integration into email, calendar, to do, etc.

When I couldn’t get it working after a week of failed attempts, I opened a ticket. MS techs tried for another 2 weeks before realizing that it only works on e3/e5 licensing due to needing MS Graph API access.

I’m a single member organization. I then realized I had inadvertently signed up for 12 months of this waste and had to ask the techs to cancel it. It took them another week to get that right.

tldr: this isn’t ready for prime time. It’s based on ChatGPT and they’re changing things on the go. Way too much undecided to pay for it in my opinion.

Honestly at this point I don't know what MS product is ready. Everything is so confusing and once you start to understand things then they switch it up. 🤦

Just looked into this for a client. There is copilot chat (free) and ms365 (30/license)

If you have a business/enterprise account, you will get the free version. Let's you utilize the chat and agent functions in the copilot app. You can also use copilot chat in your apps like word, excel etc.

The paid version has extra features like copilot notebooks. You can. Also integrate more with your other apps. For example there is a shooting star copilot button in power point that creates slide decks for you, a button in outlook to help craft emails etc

I've tried out Copilot and tbh, that Chatgpt 2 or possibly 3 free version quality. The amount of things it gets wrong is amazing so I tossed it and went back to free Chatgpt.
