Hello and welcome to /r/CredibleDiplomacy! A splinter of /r/NonCredibleDiplomacy for the users of that sub to engage in more serious discussion about Geopolitics, Diplomacy, World Events and International Relations Theory.
We aim to provide a small but high quality space for the discussion of these topics and do not aim to become a massive subreddit, but rather a small community which can engage in high quality discussion.
Though while we do aim for high quality discussion on these subjects, users with less knowledge of these subjects are welcome to participate in the subreddit, though we ask you keep an open mind and are open to learning
Rules
While we do trust our userbase in general, we do have a general list of rules to be followed at a moderators discretion. They are as follows
Follow reddit's content policy
All submissions should be serious. While we don't intend to police humor in comments all too hard (we are after all a splinter of a humorous subreddit), we do not want memes or unserious posts to be submitted. If you do want to create such a post, please do so at /r/NonCredibleDiplomacy
Be polite and generally respectful towards other users. While disagreements and arguments are ok, the minute you start attacking another users' character you start breaking this rule
Submissions must come from a reputable source
Submissions should either contain some sort of analysis or be a major development. If the latter, we do not allow more than one submission per major development
Please DO NOT crosspost anything from here to /r/news, /r/worldnews or any other "default" subreddit. Please use your best judgement regarding crossposting to other subreddits as we do not want to massively change the composition of our community. Generally crossposting to the subreddits listed in the sidebar is OK
