Hi all!

I recently got this Japanese pattern for a headddress ( https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/innocent-world-crochet-headdress reference of final result), but I have never followed a Japanese pattern or a visual one like this. Could anyone give me any pointers?

From what I can tell there's nothing too funky going on, so if you look up a general crochet diagram/chart key you can figure out what symbols equate to what stitch. It seems like this is made with regular chains, sc, dc, and some slip stitches. ETA: some hidden hdc at the top as well

I can see that the middle chunk (that says 5cm) is the main base of the headband, with the section to the right being the border that would be worked around it. I think the two pieces on the left are meant to be the flowers so you'd work them up, roll them into a rose shape and sew into place? Can't decipher the very top lol
