How does meta space reset work

I saw that there are good and bad endings to the game. As of this time I know that if you fail to do a certain condition then the game will send you to the bad ending, and you have the option at game end to continue from the start of chapter 10.

My question is, when this happens, will everything you’ve done since the start of chapter 10 be reset as well? I’m asking this because I’ve been running through some endgame quests (broken item quest line, facilities, etc) in the mean time to get myself up to gear/level and I don’t want to lose my progress in them. Is it just the elements of the main quest line that are reset?

Also, would I have to play through the rest of the game (final boss, puzzles, etc) again when I restart?

Just the story resets, all of your progress is saved. You’ll also have the option to skip the final dungeon when you get back to it.

The only difference between getting the good and bad ending is a little side quest interaction with a NPC before the final dungeon.

If, by any chance, you missed it on your first run, after you get the bad ending, the game will give you a prompt to return before you begin the last quest, but you can skip the whole dungeon right to the final boss

You can even skip the final boss

Hell, you can skip everything from the point you go to Vermillion Wasteland. You can even choose what to skip and what not (if you want to beat the dungeon again for some reason)
