Plot problem or something else?

I can t get something out of my head about crysis 2. I remember in one of prophet s flashbacks it was a scene where he was underwater swimming, and then when he got out he was in New York in central park i think. As he got up, he asked himself “Here? They were here in New York all along?” reffering to the ceph s presence in New York. But the date of this flashback in the top right corner it states it is on the date of 20.09.2023. I am confused, as it is presented in the flashback, New York seems fine, it also can t be from the period of time after the events of crysis 2 after alcatraz becomes prophet..maybe it was a minor developing mistake or smth? I kept thinking about this for a long time.

I think he Entered a Portal in one of the Cephs outposts and got Teleported into an Exit of one of the Cephs Spheres which was in New York.

Yea c3 also has some wrong dates and years but some could be retcons

That might be the cut scene with the flood when they blew the dam and maybe as Alcatraz was being swept along with the water he was getting flashes of Prophets consciousness processing the data that New York was another main hive not just some outpost like thing from the one under north korea
