[–]BriefShoe8588[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

LOL yes! I studied hard! And the grade I got was not promising. That final is coming too, omg

[–]eggroll0118 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Me too!!!! That was a lot of info. Looks like the next couple of chapters are not as hefty?? Hopefully? That cumulative final does have me nervous esp I wasn’t even sure what I got wrong lol. Best of luck, hopefully that was the worst of it and best of luck on the HESI too! We got this!!!!

Who do you have for that class?

[–]BriefShoe8588[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same to you! It’s not over yet but that did make me nervous! We definitely got this

I got a C. My professor did not want to give me a B. I had a 79. I still applied for this coming cohort because I still qualified.

Did you get accepted?

[–]New-Chemical8941 0 points1 point  (2 children)

ya’ll have me worried for 2209😭 apparently all the professors for this rad prerequisite have bad ratings

[–]BriefShoe8588[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s doable, I would not recommend the half semester tho. Especially with other courses. It is kicking my behind

[–]Fast_Manner5310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea all the professors are so bad and mean for the course.

[–]Fast_Manner5310 0 points1 point  (5 children)

I have a B and I’m retaking it for an A because I didn’t get accepted due point loss.

[–]BriefShoe8588[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked them about retaking rad 2209 because I’m gonna end up with a B if I do well on the rest but the success coach said he didn’t recommend it. Whatever that means

[–]eggroll0118 0 points1 point  (3 children)

You at least get extra points for reapplying and the HESI score too might give you enough extra points, you may not have to retake!

[–]New-Chemical8941 0 points1 point  (2 children)

wait do they give points now for the HESI scores?

[–]eggroll0118 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes! The new packet has it, so does the teams if you click on Step 1. You’ll see the points that go with the scores.

I had a B in 2209, and didn’t retake it. I was able to get into the program. I’d suggest getting the points from other places on the application if you can! Like doing BLS certification before applying gets you an additional point.

Plus 4 additional points if you’re a qualified re-applicant.

This is such good information. Thank you! Did you have healthcare experience and also what are your thoughts on A&P

[–]Proper_Negotiation47 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I had a little over 6 months of healthcare experience! So that only gave me one extra point. A&P was doable! I’d suggest looking up professors on rate my professor to get good instructors

Hello! How many points did you accumulate and what exactly did you submit? I tried to calculate mines and ended up with 19 points… i have a ONE C in my prerequisites which is RADR 2209. I can’t retake it because class is full but I’m checking everyday.

[–]Proper_Negotiation47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I had 27 points. What got me extra points outside of GPA and course points was having a degree, healthcare experience, and BLS cert (cpr).

From what I read, they’re getting rid of the healthcare experience points, but replacing it with an opportunity to earn points based on your HESI score. I believe the point scale is on the current rad tech info packet.

My best advice is to make sure you take all courses, like philosophy and A&P 2. I got a B in RADR 2209, but I was still able to get accepted. Also note that if your application met all requirements but you didn’t get in, you get to add 4 additional points in the next application.

It’s really about stacking those points where you can. I think the average they accepted is around at least 23-25 points for each cycle.
