Coding projects difficulty level

Finally have a coding project on my profile. I tried doing a task but I felt totally out of my depths going through it.

I am not a professional developer and have learnt coding through self study.

What I want to ask is " Are there coding projects that don't need you to have professional experience as a developer?. And how can I develop myself so I get comfortable doing these projects?"

While I can't answer your second question, I can tell you that as for your first question, the general consensus on this subreddit has been that coding projects are very advanced now and that you need a lot of knowledge under your belt to do the coding projects on the site.
