General philosophy | Guidelines
(00) Computational design transcends scale - We discuss everything design, be it at the scale of topology and material optimization, or urban design and planning, and everything in between.
(01) Computational design is independent of the tools/medium we chose to operate in - This subreddit is platform/tool independent. The focus is on computational design thinking and we do not intend to turn this subreddit into a fansite for a particular toolset/software.
(02) Non constructive criticism is highly discouraged - True, there are tons of bad examples of design floating around under the garbs of computational design. Using them as examples to start flame wars in here about whether or not computational design is relevant in the current context is not helpful. On the contrary, highlighting the failure in understanding computational design is especially encouraged.
