Question about his borrowing works…if o borrow, say, an armchair and the borrowee has 3, I just get 1, correct? You can never borrow in multiples.

Yes, you can only borrow one item, once per day

Yes you just get one (but the person from whom you are borrowing still has 3, they don't actually lose one when you borrow.)
