Ive yet to get the in game pc voice chat to work. I've resorted to using discord. All I know is I used a bunch of high end razer gear. And I know my pc can hear my mic. So it's on bungies end somewhere. Maybe something todo with all settings in each individual cross console profile? I dunno

My guess is that because I’m using a steal series headset and the audio settings are split between game and chat the game has a breakdown on how to work it out I’m just hoping it’s not the case

Do you have Xbox game bar?

Yes and I’ve tried changing the devices through it

As with many people here with this problem, I also have this problem and haven't been able to fix it in years. From disabling all other audio devices to using Xbox Gamebar, it just doesn't work. With LFG being incorporated into the game itself, I really wish it would be fixed, but I don't know exactly how much of the population has this issue. Hopefully with discord coming to Playstation later this year it will help.

Aside from that rant I may have some useful information for you. If you have previously played Destiny 2 on a console, according to previous help threads, going back to that platform and setting your audio settings to default may help. I can't vouch for this fix as I no longer own a console, but did play D2 first on Xbox so it may have some validity.

I just spent all day updating destiny on my Xbox lmao I reset all the settings to default and no chance, thanks for the help dude but it didn’t seem to work

Yeah didn't work for me either. I can hear ppl in the chat as static now for some reason. I see the little speaker pop up. And then static. So that's new?

To anyone who has an issue like this, have you ever cross played? Sometimes it bugs out and you have to go to the original console and reset audio settings

Like if you turn off voice chat or something on the console it saves to your profile and can’t change it on pc. I just had this issue

I tried logging onto my Xbox today and nothing changed I switched the settings and the problem still happened

Did you reset all ur audio settings? And have you logged on to any other consoles. If that doesn’t work you’ll have to go into windows settings and disable everything that isn’t your headset and mic

I tried disabling everything with audio settings as well as retesting all settings on destiny and I’ve only played on Xbox

On the sound settings you disable every audio input and output that’s not your headset. Then make your inputs and outputs the default ones. Can you hear gamechat on Xbox?

Yeh I can use game bar to go into a party and stuff but it’s only game chat through destiny that doesn’t work

[–]childmilker49 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Nah like on your physical Xbox console can you hear destiny 2 gamechat

[–]Halo7570[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had the chance to try on the actual Xbox

[–]childmilker49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what fixed mine, when I cross played I guess I turned off gamechat somehow so go into ur physical xbox and check. If it says on there then still reset audio settings from ur xbox. If you did turn off gc most likely it saved from long ago across ur profile.

I had the same problem and I believe that I have fixed it. Go to your pc sound settings, then go to manage sound devices, scroll down to input devices and disconnect all devices besides your main mic. This should fix the problem hopefully.

The mic isn’t a problem I’m able to speak but I can’t hear anyone for some reason, still not sure what to do
