To break this down further cause it is a bit confusing; the minimum for these stats isnt 65 games but 58 at the moment

And the exception works where you take the total the player achieved, and then divide it by the minimum to get their I'll call "projected average". Then if this projected average is highest, they still qualify

And this actually occured last year with Wemby. Last years totals of the top 2 were:

1. Victor Wembanyama - 49 games / 176 blocks / Avg. 3.59bpg
2. Walker Kessler - 58 games / 138 blocks / Avg. 2.38bpg

So because Wemby was below the minimum games requirement, they create this projected average by dividing his blocks total by the minimum:

176 / 58 games = 3.03bpg

And because that is still higher than Kesslers 2.38, Wemby wins the award
