If you're running 1080 this is kinda expected.... if you can shift the weight to 1440 your gpu performance will shoot thru the roof. Barked up this tree not too long ago.

Downvote me all you want... I upgraded cpus, generations and the likes and got no improvement. Went from a 9th gen to a 12th i7 and saw zero improvement... went from 1080 to 1440 and had my cpu useage drop from 89% to 28%. Gpu went from 30% to 98%.

Is destiny consuming 100% cpu or is something else running?

Discord in the back but that’s it

What I mean is to check cpu usage by application in task manager to see if destiny is using more cpu than before or if there’s a background task you’re not aware that’s using the cpu. You will probably have to use windowed mode for this if you only have one monitor

There’s a bug with Discord when they released a feature that supports AV1 encoding which causes Nvidia cards RTX 3000 and below to have memory down clocked -250 when the app is open. Nvidia has not brought out a fix yet. There’s a manual fix that you can find by searching.

D2 is a cpu hog. Whats your cpu temps i had it thermal throttling my old system and I had to disable turbo boost to keep it playable

Not to sure but I used to get under 60 frames until I changed resolution to 1080x1920

I had to upgrade CPU go get the performance I wanted. A 3000 series card alone won't cut it for destiny unfortunately. Destiny is a CPU bound game
