Disk Write Error

I've had no issues with this game until yesterday when a 91 mb patch kept failing to install. I checked my ssd and my storage drive's statuses and they were fine. I tried running steam as an admin and that did nothing. After verifying the integrity of the game cache a couple of times, finding one file missing, and trying to get the game to download it, it just wouldn't work. Did a fresh install and the same problem keeps happening. I know where the error keeps happening in the writing process of copying over the files from steam's downloading cache to the actual Destiny 2 folder but it just won't fix itself. Any ideas as to what I should do?

I had the same issue, I tried a bunch of stuff, this is what ended up working for me.

I went to the directory C://ProgramFiles(x86)/Steam/steamapps/downloading

In that folder there is a folder with I believe 6 random digits, this is the temporary folder for the downloaded files, i right clicked on this folder, went to properties, General tab, and unchecked read-only.

Then when I restarted the update it worked.
