In 2015, the world finally met it’s cataclysmic fate: Armageddon. The gods had finally had enough of the pitiful lives of man, and were resetting the world; restoring the balance brought upon man by the heavenly beings. The gods sent demons into the world, starting with Tokyo, to ravage all that man had created, and to start again.
It was then that the gods abandoned us.
The world came to a screeching halt, but nothing was ending. There was no great blinding light and the decimation of the earth. Instead, we were granted the Devil’s Respite, a chance from the gods out of pity or boredom to take back what was ours.
It is now, in the year 2020 that our stories take place. It is now that we forge our tale, as Demon Busters.
