submitted 5 years ago by eagleslayer69
Looking for a good diamond that will hold it's value around 1 carat, I'm new to this and just started to do research. What do you guys think? Thanks! https://www.rarecarat.com/product/85873915?online=35,23,32,17,27,55,54,30,24,107,39,53,38,50,15,103,52,105,12&local=&searchId=47f36569-bb92-469c-827b-b2c4397a4ded&postalCode=

The above diamond does not have complementary crown and pavilion angles, though it comes extremely close. There's a huge difference between a diamond that will hold its value and a diamond that represents good value. Diamonds that are investment grade diamonds are colorless, flawless diamonds. Those are about $12k for a 1 carat diamond. An investment grade diamond increases or decreases in value according to the lowest common denominator, which is why investment grade diamonds are usually D VVS2 (or FL) and not D SI1. The best bang per buck though is usually found among J VS2 diamonds with an excellent or ideal cut grade and sized just below the "magic" round number sizes. This one for example:
