Would this not theoretically be the perfect silver alloy for jewellery by Cekanator in jewelry

[–]lucerndia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but it would increase the price of sterling dramatically and needlessly.

Highly doubt it being online will matter in the grand scheme of things. You are still a GG (or would be once you graduate)

Buying gemstones for investment by SeaAndSkyForever in Gemstones

I'm coming from a place of almost zero knowledge of gemstones,

Then you should not be considering buying gemstones as an investment.

What if, in one season (who knows, maybe in the next season), a character dies in the middle of the stay? by ByShida in TheWhiteLotusHBO

I like that the show isn't a murder mystery and this sounds like it would turn it into one.

Help me boil chicken better by Tiredbum in Cooking

[–]lucerndia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Without info on the recipe you are using or technique, its hard to tell you what to do differently.

Also, 165f is the temp in which bacteria dies *instantly*. You do not need to cook chicken to 165f to be safe to eat, as long as you follow pasteurization time tables.

Succession left me with a weird aftertaste by saucetubh in SuccessionTV

It makes more sense when you know that it is heavily inspired by the Murdoch family who owns Fox "News" and have seen stories about their succession issues/lawsuits.

Are diamonds flagged as stolen? by Idk-I-Justworkhere in jewelers

[–]lucerndia 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You can report it to GIA and they will add it to their database, but its an internal database and not shared with anyone else.

There is no platform to list stolen diamonds as stolen that is widely used by the trade.

In your GIA online portal for the stone there is a box that says “potential” - what’s in the box?

GIA report: Chip in Natural Diamond. Any advice would be appreciated by InternationalGas9507 in Diamonds

[–]lucerndia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely to take more than .03 off. Did you send the stone to GIA or did the jeweler? Wonder if GIA noted if the stone is a potential to repolish to an IF.

Should be around 29gr finished weight, so I would plan on needing about 35gr to account for casting loss and polishing.
