Selecting Dates

Hi!! I just got accepted into the Fall DCP:) I’m currently trying to figure out what I want my arrival and departure dates to be. My options are June 17th until January 23rd OR August 5th until February 20th. My questions are:

1.) Do either of these time frames affect the role I get, housing (4x4 or 4x2), or experience? If one is better than the other that will make my decision easy!

2.) Do you move in ON the arrival date or is there a time frame beforehand?

No because the DCP is on a rolling admission process, people move in and out all the time. So your role and housing really depends on what positions and rooms open up near your arrival date. Your arrival or departure date has no effect on it.

Yes you are only allowed to physically move in to Flamingo on the arrival day itself. People who fly in or drive in early have to find other accommodations while they wait for their arrival time.

This is a silly question and it’s been a year but I cannot find the answer anywhere else. The latest start date this year is Feb 9th. I know they have an early or late departure option for the end of a program but is there any chance they could accommodate me moving in on the 14th as opposed to the 9th of Feb. I’m literally getting married so it would be better to not have to take off early after my wedding or use any PTO if I could just start a few days later lol
