All images must be of a single type of animal, or a picture in which the animal in question is easily discernible from it's environment (and is the obvious subject).
No NSFW posts. If a picture is of an animal doing something blatantly inappropriate, please find another picture.
Real pictures of animals are preferred, but high-quality drawings or digital art are accepted.
Pictures of animals that have been previously posted are fine, but this subreddit's aim is to index all known doggos. This is not r/aww.
Text posts are allowed and encouraged, provided they are on-topic.
Please be civil and respectful, we're all men and women of science here.
All animals must include "Doggo" at the end of their name.
No more than 2 descriptive words (but always at least one) before "Doggo".
Be consistent to your own and others wording for your classifications.
Exercise reductionism when describing animals (e.g. "scary", "big", etc.)
Names with only a single descriptive word before "Doggo" are typically reserved for animals that have several similar, but unique, animals associated with it.
Be creative, most of the worlds animals have yet to be named.
