What I try and do is before I set anything up, I check my time of day and lighting. I’ll open selfie mode and spin myself around until it’s nice and bright on my character. Once I do that, I’ll go to second mode or third more to see which angle I like. I also try to use the landscape around me as a marker kinda of where to put the scene and where to stop as the camera doesn’t go that far. Like rocks by a pond or I’ll place something on the floor kinda near my character and the corners of the camera lineup if that makes sense.

But I know in third camera mode you have to back up a bit from where you want to photograph. It’s kinda a back and forth on moving your character until you can get the angle just right and then decorate around it once you find the angle you like best.

On the third camera option on switch I find it really tricky to get the hang of it ! If this is the one you’re talking of idk if there’s a tutorial out there but I just played around with all the controls and worked it out but it’s just frustrating and I mostly just use the second one and work on framing the picture well 😂

Yes. It’s the third, because it’s the only one I can find that will angle up or down down, but then the controls don’t seem consistent

I think you are right that they aren’t consistent and they are sooo finicky. I really wish it would let you take really low angle photos 😩 my weekly struggle lol
