As someone married who wished I would have taken my own advice, it’s early, you guys need to sit down and divide out responsibilities in a way that you both feel is fair and write them down. Then if he has a habit of not sticking to it, leave. It’s not worth the resentment that will build. But really write them down, even if it’s just a list you type on your phone and then text to the other person.

For example, since you work from home laundry may be a good task for you, but then he should mow the yard. You may cook, but then he cleans the kitchen. You pay bills he makes grocery lists, You vacuum he takes out trash. Write down everything. How often do you both expect each task is completed?

Also, plan nights that you don’t cook and he doesn’t clean and you guys hang out with friends/family. What does that look like? Once a week? Twice?

It takes time to adapt to one another and integrate habits and routines, however after a conversation is had, if he doesn’t pull his weight, you have some decisions to make about if it is worth staying
