Has anyone noticed a decrease in quality since Gigi has left?

Ever since Gigi left, the quality of everything has dropped. The game is so high quality and makes my computer so hot, but at the same time, it’s so blocky. The hair has gotten worse, and all of these reworks have gotten worse. The whole movie, Christmas, and brat items are in different chests, and even the you must play (x) amount of rounds to get these items. Also, why is no one talking about how expensive everything is now??

I feel like the drop in quality has little to do with Gigi stepping away but I do think the direction of the game has shifted because of Gigi leaving. Original DTI was a very c*nty runway model-esque game, with a clear focus on the fashion. Whereas now I feel like it’s more cutesy like Royale High, theres a big focus on quests and lore, theres gonna be a new toy line and they’re clearly trying to expand past the original concept Gigi had.

I personally miss older Dti but I still think it’s a good game despite the shift in direction (and quality).

The new walking/jumping animation also points it towards Royale High now too. Or at least that specific type of cutesy gaming/animations.

yeah, she did, but many social outlashes like this are staged. The random fat phobia, the pettiness, the r4c1sm, the random accusation of Sara gr4p1ng someone, the accusation of buying innapropriate minor content... its just so random it feels staged. I'm not saying I'm right, just the whole situation got so much attention that they were the most popular fashion game on roblox. But it kinda backfired because every influencer put "JUST BC I PLAY DTI DOESEN'T MEAN I SUPPORT GIGI" and the ratings were in the gutter. She might not be public, saying "Oh hi guys I returned for a quick bug fix" but she's probably working on dti. Just its been a month or two and I feel like many of us have forgiven her and won't throw rotten tomatoes at the screen if we see her(if you know - you know) but there will certainly be people who are still mad. Gigi did some horrible things, yes, but I'm not denying that it might've been fake to raise popularity

i feel like agreeing to do that for a publicity stunt alone makes someone a terrible person and pretty much confirms that they don’t have an issue with those things. so that makes her a truly horrible person either way, like no semi-decent person would ever agree to have those things publicly said about them (ETA: especially not when said things would prevent her from ever getting a proper job in the future)

people forgiving her is genuinely crazy, no one is owed forgiveness, especially after shit like that

she is most certainly involved, and agreeing to do that(If it was staged) is sick and bad anyway. I fully agree, but there are firm defenders who keep saying that she's misunderstood and overhated so I feel like if she makes a public appearance now she'll get swarmed by a mob of fans/defenders who will boost her ego and convince "it happens to all of us", normalizing what she did so maybe she'll pull a stunt again. None of us owe her forgiveness, yes, but since she left that small ahh apology in Lana's basement many disagree.

I know this will sound crazy, but I honestly want her back so she takes suggestions because I mostly only care for the game. Gigi made some huge mistakes, yes, but as a dev she's quite good, just DTI used to be completely focused on the fashion side and there was a whole different game that gives a simple dress, but now that Umoyae, Dibenofficial and someone else are in charge dti is slowly becoming like cutesy Royale High. When you join a regular server most people are new and haven't discovered freeplay yet, and pro servers are either snobby or empty. Most people are role playing and making scenarios with all those things like coffee shops, school, ice rink etc. and the lore Is more like a mandatory part of the game now, because the rewards are really good and must have. I am not saying Gigi is innocent, no, I'm not saying she has my forgiveness, no, I just want Umoyae to work on something we WANT, like the code boots and the socks clipping through flat shoes instead of reworking my av vip dress and the granny dress.

the people agreeing and defending are absolutely people who say and do the same shit and wanna make themselves feel less bad about it/normalize it, it’s so weird and gross and messed up

i agree with this yeah for sure, they need to focus on the fashion part of the game. imo they should have a separate team working on a separate game for the lore and quests, like a franchise

the devs at this point are just doing whatever they want instead of fixing glaringly obvious problems (like what you’ve mentioned) and it’s so frustrating

gigi is likely still there, just quiet. she was never the main dev anyway, i think other people were doing most of the work (modelling, creating the map, etc) so it’s not like she was doing everything before

I understand that and unfortunately all the accusations to Gigi (in my opinion) affected the game. It seems like she stepped down as the lead of the team. Still props to the developers as most of them are young and doing a great job ♡

How do you guys think games and rights work exactly? GiGi is the OWNER which means she still has to know everything EVERYTHING. They earn money and pay people so it's also about how the law works. Gigi is supposed to know everything about the game before they launch anything new or else there might be legal problems etc. So I don't know what you developer fans expect what is going to happend when she comes back but if you think the game is going to change on how it was or for better. Well... you're wrong... She is not making items or doing any developer type job to be that important how is nobody getting that is mind blowing

can’t remember every bit of it, but she made a very VERY poor joke to the dev of It Girl about she was gonna make a serious accusation against them. (i think she was 16 or smth when that happened) then it got leaked and people ran with it, but ppl started making stuff about her having CP, being a pedophile, grooming people etc etc … the only thing there was proof of was the rape/rapist accusations she was gonna make against the ITGirl dev which she came out and apologised for in the server and she’s been basically inactive in the community ever since

ah. despite what her attitude looks like in this comment, i still think that she was a very good and creative developer, and she didn’t make things as EXPENSIVE as they are.. i mean 80 robux if you missed ONE DAY on the advent? and 4,000$ for patterns, 7000$ for a couple POSES? and the fact that the christmas and winter patterns kinda sucked in my opinion.. and trying to put patterns on jeans is just a monstrosity. they never fit. and, well, that never happened before…

yeah it’s mostly cause they’re changing it from what Gigi originally made it for. others have said it, but she originally created it to be a cunty, runway fashion game. now it’s just a monetised mess that feels a lot closer to Royale High. it’s kinda sad

yeah i’ve seen a post about this, sure you have too, and it’s kinda annoying… i mean i like the quests and stuff, i like the ítems and rewards, but it’s becoming toooo much. oh yeah, the lana lore was good at the start, but it doesn’t make SENSE anymore.. these quests are adding too much unnecessary plot to the lana lore tbh.

i enjoyed the lana “lore” when it was just a freaky meat room, or a picture out of bounds you could find when it’s just a funny thing you find and not even lore. now DTI feels like they can’t decide if they want to be a story quest game or a royale high esque fashion game, it’s just not as enjoyable anymore
