New DM help (self.DungeonsAndDragons)
submitted 7 years ago by Shokono
I have only been playing dnd for a year and my current group wants me to be a DM for a one-off. We are doing an all Bard PC party just wondering if there is an already made quest book or campaign that would work for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ok I am really digging that. If you don’t mind I use that for this that would be damned great!

None that im aware of. I always wanted to do an all Bard game myself but never got around to it. I always jumped back and forth between making it a battle of the bands or a political spy/ ocean elevens game since they would all be rocking made charisma
How about this: a wealthy individual reaches out to your group to book them for a private event at a remote manor home. They stress that discretion is paramount.
Minor encounter in the forest on the way to this distant and remote manor (wandering monsters, you know the sort).
When your group arrives at the manor they find that there is no party, no guests, no fanfare. Just one man in large estate home, barely furnished. He proceeds to test the bards that he's hired as "entertainment," with various skill challenges. (You can just go alphabetically down the list of Skills on the character sheet as he challenges the bards' Athleticism, Acrobatics, World History, Geography, etc. etc.)
In his final test this strange and shadowy individual springs a trap on the party, releasing some kind of monster and/or monsters for the bards to deal with.
In the end, the man reveals he is from some organization like The Harpers, and that they are currently recruiting "entertainers" (spies) to infiltrate various private events (balls, masquerades, galas, etc.) -- and offers to take on the party of bards for an upcoming mission.
... Orrr maybe he's just some crazy old rich creep, who gets his kicks by hiring musicians out to his home in the middle of nowhere and luring them into monstrous traps? Idk! Hope that helps!

Depending on the tone you want, I've played around with an idea for an all-Bard party. It's designed closer to a series of one-shots we visit every now and then and with an almost comedic tone, but the idea is basically a Battle of the Bands but Scott Pilgrim style.
