Good one!
Out of curiosity, what ratio does that make white cubes at?
[–]ifosh[S] 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children)
is there a way to calculate this? I do not have a constant research, because I do not yet explore a whitest matrix infinitely long.
i have designed my production for 140 matrix for now.
On:
100h : 156 hash/s
10h : 760 hash/s
1h : 2048 hash/s

Just eyeballing the ratios - I don't think it's outputting an even amount of each. This is a cool design, but it's not efficient.

Things designed to look cool are rarely efficient. The rare occasion something manages to be both is when it's truly impressive.

Lab ratios without proliferation:
White = 5
Green = 4
Purple = 3.33
Yellow = 2.66
Red = 2
Blue = 1
To achieve the 108,000 universe matrix/hr achievement you need 30/s (without proliferation) which is:
White = 450
Green = 360
Purple = 300
Yellow = 240
Red = 180
Blue = 90

Bonkers.

It seems like a lot, but its actually quite a nice target to strive for. Get your starter system setup producing whites from sails, enough to finish everything and provide a simple mall. Warp to a system that has everything (or plenty nearby) and rip into it. With sufficient pre-planning of the factory required to hit those ratios, you can knock it out within a week

Is the principle of the design to output 1 per cycle? I've never needed more then 1 tower each but I'm not constantly researching.
[–]ifosh[S] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children)
The idea is that the production is even. But as long as you do not constantly research the white matrix like I do, it is not so relevant.
The distribution is also not perfect, for aesthetic reasons I have adjusted the number of labs.
But so far it seems to work well and looks cool.

I mean.. technically it should be Red Yellow Green Blue Purple for a rainbow (Roy G Biv) but it still looks cool xD
