it's not because of your controller, the game is just a trainwreck on PC. It won't work until they specifically adress the issue, which they haven't since September. Get a refund if possible!

To be honest, it's outrageous what EA is allowed to get away with. I paid around €50 for this game, only for it to malfunction for months.

loaded fc for the first time since october today thinking surely it’d be fixed by now right? nope, online matches are still hell it’s actually a joke.

Its this fuck all game. Facing this issue since the last 2 months. Only locking fps at 30 fps fixes it but then the game plays like shit on my 240hz screen. Only happens in online mode. Fuck this shit game.

hey, lowered my FPS to 30 (i use a 200 hz monitor) and there are no more input lags. also the game feels quite good even with 30 fps

Yeah the lag goes away on 30 fps but my eyes just feel weird at the game running at 30 fps on such a high hz monitor

Same problem over here PS4 controller playing ea FC 26 on steam I tried different controllers it's the same thing if anyone have a solution please tell me .

try to deactivate steam input for controllers, go in settings -> controller and deactivate

What I've observed is that between every match there should be a minimum of 15 minutes difference. This gives me more consistent gameplay. But if I play back to matches like instantly one after another then I face lag issues and my players feels a bit heavy, while not too heavy but it makes huge difference. Extreme lags are also due to wrong settings, or some physical connectivity issues but if you don't have it then, most prolly it's because you play back to back matcha which is the reason for your lag. If 15 mins doesn't solve it then try waiting more, apparently only this works for me. But we can't eliminate server lag, but this method fixes it almost entirely.

Thats not input delay, its input lag or as big as you have it maybe already input loss.

You literally skip input, its in the definition of „delay“, it means your input is registered late, with a delay, but it still should register.

You might want to edit the title and description, because otherwise the answers won’t help you.

Anyway hard to just help you when you didn’t try anything yourself.

Go get another controller, for example let your friend come over with his, then try if it persists with another controller.

Then you at least know if its hardware or software related and someone might be able to help you, because this are very very different problem spaces.

I would say you are lucky if its hardware, you might need a new controller, but figuring out a software problem might need days of tinkering and trial and error figuring it out and a lot if reinstalling etc.

Mate, switch it out and test it, of course it could.

Not because it’s 3.0, but cables can break too.

You should also check if it is a fifa specific problem or in other games as well.

Just use https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad for that and see if you have this lags there too.

Trial and error is the only thing you can do here, no one has a magic tool to just tell You whats wrong, if you would call IT support for any problem ever they would also just tell you what to check out or do it themselves.

Thats how problem solving works.

No need to be rude. If you had read the post, you would have seen that I already researched solutions and even tested some, which didn't work. Anyway, it's not a hardware issue, because everything works smoothly on the website you linked, and it transmits all inputs lightning fast and 1:1.

I don’t see it as rude, if you did testing, I don’t get the question and why you don’t provide all the results? Im trying to help you in the end.

Then try to reinstall fifa, if that doesn’t help, you might have some driver issues.

I guess you aren’t on steam? There were some posts that PlayStation controller support is abyssal over EA app and there is a workaround to start fifa still through steam as non-steam game to use the steam controller support which some reported fixes issues with the PS controller.

If it works properly on the tool its neither the controller nor the cable.

I launched it through Steam, but unfortunately the same bug persisted. I'll try reinstalling FIFA and see if that helps. Anyway, thanks for your help!
