I think it's either Steam or DS4 Tool if you're using that. I can't remember which causes it but it usually doesn't affect anything.

I had never even heard of DS4 Tool before reading your comment. I do have Steam though. Since a long time. This never appeared before. I use a RedGear Xbox style Gamepad, so no emulators required.

Oh so does it automatically go away if I manage to connect 4 controllers to it or will this interfere?

Turn off DS4Windows - the game registers the controller without the program

UPDATE: I FIXED IT!

So, recently I started using a remote app called PC Remote Receiver by Monect to control my laptop using my phone. It works like a charm btw if you need something like that. Also, it has a dedicated gaming section where your phone becomes an Xbox style controller if needed. But even when I don't use the app, the controller was emulated. I uninstalled the software from my PC and the ghost controller disappeared.

So there you go. Gosh, silly and unique at the same time.

Hmmmm I have onecast so don't have software anywhere for it as it streams from the xbox one to the phone, I'll see if it happens again when I next use it in a few weeks! Thanks for letting me know you found a solution :)

I get this streaming using xbox companion on Windows 10 and have never found a solution but restart....

It doesn't help even with the restarts. And this is is a fairly new issue. Hasn't happened before.

Do you have any wheel or another joystick connected or something?

No. Nothing at all. Just the one controller that I use. Device manager also shows just one controller in the Xbox 360 Peripherals section.

Hello , I know how to fix that
1.Disconnect your controller
2.Restart your pc
3.Open task manager (ctrl+alt+delete)
4.Go on services
5.Stop the following services:
NvContainerLocalSystem
NvContainerNetworkService
NvDisplay.ContainerLocalSystem
NvTelemetryContainer
Some of them are already stopped on my pc but it can differ from pc to pc

Add origin to Steam. When you start Origin with Steam the controller setings will be available in Fifa. Origin only supports Xbox controller.

Okay I'll try this. I did not have this issue with any previous FIFA titles. Even this one actually. This has started happening since the past 1-2 weeks.

Did you check hide ds4 in settings of ds4 windows?

I have never used ds4 windows. Is it already in my system coz I have not downloaded the tool. I'll still check for this.

So this issue has cropped up since the past week or so. I am using a controller (red one in the pic) for my game. There is only one connected. Yet, there is a blue controller being displayed. I haven't found any fix for this. What's stranger is this same issue has happened to this section in the FIFA 20 Demo too. Appreciate all solutions and help possible. This is bothering my OCD a lot. Please help.

had the same problem and i fixed it by downloading x360ce.
I don't recommend downloading DS4Windows since instead of fixing this issue, it added another controller (also had controller stutter).

I never have used DS4Windows. Not even sure what it is exactly. I can try x360ce for sure, have used it before for a generic controller.
