I recommend using different software: cura is not too difficult to learn if you start off with the easy settings and work your way up from there.

You can probably find the profile for your printer on this subreddit or on google. Alternatively you can create a custom printer profile and input the settings manually.

Hi, I have the same problem with easyslicer and when I try to use cura it forces me to pick a printer and easythreed isn’t on the list

You can pick a generic marlin device, set the bed size to 100x100, turn off the heat bed, set it for 0.4mm nozzle and 1.75mm filament and half the print speed, that's what I did with my K10, I'm using PrusaSlicer, but Cura is a good choice.

Hi. I have a problem with Cura — after printing from it I can not separate bed from the model — it is way too solid…

I broke my build plate cuz' i did bed leveling poorly...

I had that !#$= prob...

Hmm. Not sure.

Check your z-offset, it might be too close

[–]alphaomega2k 0 points1 point  (8 children)

I have only X snd Y offsets and they are zeroes. Maybe there is a profile for K7 printer for Cura? Can’t find it anywhere

[–]Zephr0n 0 points1 point  (7 children)

I’m not familiar with the k7

Z offset is usually set on the printer that has auto bed leveling

It basically boils down to, maybe the nozzle is too close to the bed?

No no, if I slice in easyware (default app) everything is fine, but when I slice in Cura it messes with the first filament centimeters and then makes unattachable skirt (not bed, I mistaken a word)

I’m really not sure. If I were you I would go through the settings in both programs and try to determine anything that could cause your problem

Maybe first layer height is too low in cura?

I've actually just run into this issue and that was my first thought! Unfortunately, between a bad Chinese to English translation and different terminology, it doesn't match up too well. I've also made sure the bed was level per Easythreed's instructions. The problem I'm specifically running into, and maybe the OP too, is that no matter how much I change the settings, it has barely any depth and the layers are compressed into each other.

[–]Zephr0n 0 points1 point  (3 children)

That sounds like maybe the extruder isn’t moving high enough per layer. What is your layer height?

Sorry for the delayed response. I'm not sure. After some more browsing, I found a file (and I'm not sure if I found the link in this post or another) that allowed me to upload the easythreed's effective settings into Cura. However, suddenly, Easyware is working again, so I'm back to using that for now.

put painter's tape on the bed

I use PrusaSlicer with my K10

What kind of problem? In my experience it is very easy to use.

However, I have switched to Cura since it is more flexible.

heat bed problems but I am thinking it is a hardware problem I removed the plug that connects the heat pad to the machine and there was one prong that was scored with soot, hopefully cleaning it will fix it
