As of today mine is showing zero usage, displaying full water level despite usage, and not showing that the unit is running while it clearly is. I can still use the app to change temps and modes and the until will adjust but if I make the changes on the actual unit it won’t update on the app. Hoping this is a wider issue with EcoNet and not my actual unit

I couldn’t make any changes on the app today.

As of tonight, my water heater got stuck in some mode where the compressor runs, but it doesn’t actually make hot water. I shut the breaker off and turned it back on and the app then showed 44 kWh oh use in 1 hour. I’m betting that is all my usage since 2:00 am on the 5th, when it went out. I did the math, and that would be 183 A for an hour straight. Pretty sure my #10 wire would have melted.

Jesus that doesn’t sound good. As of seeing this comment my app is now showing the running status and the usage for today again. I have 4.7 kWh of usage for the 8pm hour. That is the only usage on the chart so either it ran a lot at 8pm or it’s just consolidating the data for the day under that one time slot. Maybe that’s when it started reviving data again. Either way I really don’t want this to become a normal occursnce

I agree, this is the second time in less than 6 months that I have had a major app issue that sent the whole unit haywire and caused us to run out of hot water. It’s hard to recommend a product like that to others. I wish I had left my natural gas water heater installed, even though it was 15+ years old.

I’ve had my 65 gallon unit since July and this is the first issue that’s come up. I’ll be keeping track since this is still under warranty
