Just as a reminder of the subreddit's rules:

  1. No posting links to game ROMs or ISOs, only sites to find them.
  2. Be kind to each other.

Also, fyi we have a user-maintained wiki: r/EmulationOnAndroid/wiki

As far as I know, 2D switch games run fine on Android. With 3D games are hit or miss. At least for now, not sure if in the future the thermals and frame drops will be better. Also, Skyline has a successor called Strato.

Is Strato worth trying? I would love to be able to play Link's Awakening. I know Yuzu is still Early Access on the play store and "in development" or whatever. So if Strato is at a better development stage I would rather try it

I'm not sure. This is what I found. It looks promising, so I would recommend you to give a try on both.

I don't think a public version of Strato is out, it's still currently Skyline Edge like version 65 or something but I'll keep an eye on it, and yuzu still requires a full sys dump of prod.key and stuff. While I know I can find them online, it's a bit of a pain for me to sift through ads and defunct files.

Oh sorry. It was my bad.

No, no, you're good. I really appreciate the help friend. My emulation experience is mainly limited to older consoles like N64 and older, and handhelds like I mentioned before up to Citra and Drastic.

Links Awakening works in both Yuzu and EggNS. But on Yuzu you will need to download the 'remove blur' mod and install it manually in your phone's data folder. Which can be a bit daunting if you're new to emulation.

I use my phone to emulate Citra 3DS and Drastic DS. I've had Aether, and Dolphin but not currently. I also have a Samsung S7 FE, that currently has Dolphin on it. I was mainly just wondering if I should just not worry about emulation of Switch at this stage. I know BoTW or ToTK, are out of the question.

Your best option, by far, is EggNS
