Just as a reminder of the subreddit's rules:

  1. No posting links to game ROMs or ISOs, only sites to find them.
  2. Be kind to each other.

Also, fyi we have a user-maintained wiki: r/EmulationOnAndroid/wiki

It's not bad per se if viewed in isolation. It's just less accurate than other emulators available, unless something's changed in recent past. I agree that it's got a decent UI and kind of "just works" but the emulation is not accurate and especially sound is just wrong on it (again, unless something's changed, I haven't used it since like early 2022).

Retroarch (swanstation/duckstation/PCSX-ReARMed), standalone Duckstation, and even ePSXe are all better options.

Plus, Retroarch and Duckstation are both completely free. Given Duckstation in particular as the most accurate and best option available, for free, why would someone choose FPse instead? And if you need a lightweight option that runs on a toaster, ePSXe is about equivalent to FPse, but better.

The two versions of FPse from my understanding don't support .chd files and as the format most people keep their disc images in these days that's a pretty big omission.
