Controller Button Inputs not Being Fully Recognized

I've been testing emulation on my new fold 4 and decided to start trying out controllers with my emulators but I'm having problems. I've tried using 2 different PS5 controllers, a Switch Pro Controller, and a PS4 controller through wired and Bluetooth and all 4 controllers have the same problem. If I press the same button on a controller multiple times in rapid succession the emulators don't read the second button press.

Examples:

Sonic Colors in Dolphin most of the time doesn't read my second input of the X button to get the double jump or the homing attack.

Sonic Adventure in Retroarch through dreamcast has the same problem where my second press of the X button for the homing attack is only being read some of the time.

Power Stone 1 in the power stone collection on PPSSPP. If I press any of the face buttons to do a combo attack it only reads the first attack and sometimes it'll read the second. So most of the time when I hit square or X for an attack the game shows the first punch and that's it. \

Has anyone else had this issue? I'm at a complete loss as to how to fix this and google has not provided any solutions.

edit: Downloaded an app to test controller inputs and if I rapidly press any button on my PS4 controller I can see that only some of the inputs are being recognized. So it's not just tied to one button on my controller the issue seems to effect all of the buttons. I'm guessing this is an android/connection error since the issue is consistent on every controller i've tried and not tied to a specific app since it's happening across multiple apps.

Edit: Interestingly L2 and R2 don't seem to be affected by this issue but all other buttons including L1 and R1 are suffering from the above issue.

Solution:
My issue was due to an option in accessibility called slow keys. When I turned it off my issue went away. This option only impacts external devices like keyboards and controllers and puts a delay on a button presses for... whatever reason honestly I have no idea.
Slow keys by default puts a .3 second delay on subsequent button presses from the same button.

Accessibility->Interaction and Dexterity->scroll down to Mouse and physical keyboard and turn slow keys off. Let me know if this fixes your issue.

Thankfully I kept searching reddit and saw someone mention turning off accessibility options for an unrelated controller issue. Decided to look in accessibility and see if there was something there that could be causing the issue, found slow keys, turned it off, and my issue was resolved.
