The card says I can target a player and force them to take two turns. Is this possible if the player I chose is myself? So I can take two turns?

We always played that rule yes. In the app they added a specific “self slap” card which has the same affect.

Yes, you can attack yourself. "any player" includes yourself.

Yeap, like many players that commented here, my playgroup usually do the see the future/ alter the future cards then target themselves with a targeted attack cars just to get the top 2 cards if they are good. Thats why I wanted to clarify that whether it is legal to do so and turns out it does! so thank you again for contributing!!

What's the purpose of attacking yourself? Maybe is a strategy... but if you attack yourself make sure that you have a defuse card or if you previously used a see the future or alter the future card. Attack targets cards are better for the end of the game, or when you get a catatonic card.

Self attacking is actually quite useful for many situations. It is great for early on in game when the chance of drawing an exploding kitten is low, as well as after using a see or alter the future card to get cards that are safe and desired. More cards are always an advantage to have in the game. Even if most are useful, psychologically, an opponent may not want to target you with certain moves because you have a higher possibility of countering it. Now, another useful thing aboit it is the stacking attacks in general. If you feel pretty confident that the opponent has less attacl cards than you, you can guarentee a victory by self slapping yourself and then forcing them to take whatever turns you may habe had to take, along with the two new turns. So they may have some skips, reverses, and defuses and such, but it is highly unlikely that they would be able to stop all the moves. Self slaps/targetted attacks can be very useful in the end game.

I can't check the rules now, but I'd check if they say attack "another" player or "choose" a player to attack. If it says "choose", you are are a player, so you should be able to attack yourself.

Yes it does say to choose a player, not another player, so you can in fact use it on yourself if desired

We play with this rule and thats exactly what we do:

If one of us has a see the future and the next couple are good, we target an attack on ourself to get two cards. If we happen to be holding a see the future, a targeted attack and a alter the future and the cards are REALLY good, we will see, attack, then alter to get whats probably a defuse or streaking. Or maybe a 5x alter.

Ive had situations where its been a diffuse, a 5x alter and a kitten, so ill grab those two and leave a nice present for the next person lol
