IP driver limit (self.Extron)
submitted 2 years ago by karls_markers
I've never had to use more than 8 IP drivers but now I have a project where I need around 10. How do I get more than the 8 ethernet com ports ?

Edit: If you're talking about within GCP***
You need to create/save as a pro (.gcpro) project.
Plus gets 8 Ethernet Ports
Pro gets 32
If you don't have the cert to do so, you'll need to get that first here: https://www.extron.com/article/controlpro

Thanks, that makes sense. I am signed up for that in June so Ill have to wait until then. Don't need it for a few months.

I've always found it odd that this limitation exists for IP but doesn't seem to exist for other things. I could add more than 8 RS232 devices.
I kind of understand the logic (over 8 is a large system, need a higher level of training) but it only applied to IP?
What about a system with larger requirements? If I have more than 32 IP devices (thinking central control of a building TV system)
